Ms. Emily

Emily is a pianist, instructor, and accompanist who has been teaching piano since 1998. She initially earned a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems and worked as a programmer at Matson Navigation Company while teaching piano part-time.

 

Driven by her passion for music, she later obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with a specialization in Piano, followed by a Master's degree in Piano Performance.

 

Emily has extensive experience teaching both private and group lessons at various institutions, including The Toddler Program, Mary Star of the Sea Early Learning Center, Maryknoll School, Iolani School, and the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She has also accompanied various choirs and collaborated with musicians, performing at numerous events.

 

She is certified by the American College of Musicians and has served as the vice president of the Hawaii Piano Teachers Association. Additionally, Emily is a church accompanist at Christ Lutheran Church in Mililani and actively participates in volunteer work to reach out to the community.

Ms. Jennifer

Ms. Jen is a Mandarin instructor.  She loves traveling and enjoying delicious food. She believe that genuine love is the greatest motivation for learning! Her goal is to inspire her students' love and curiosity for knowledge. In her classes, students will not only learn Chinese but also explore a variety of fascinating topics. She enjoys the process of learning through play with children and making it fun. Students will learn Mandarin in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Additionally, she has a deep understanding of the physical and mental developmental characteristics of children at different ages. ” 

Ms. Elisabeth

Elisabeth is a pianist, teacher and accompanist. Ever since the age of 6, she fell in love with the piano and hasn’t stopped playing. Determined to take steps toward her love of music, she received a BA in music from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and was recognized with a merit achievement in piano performance. Throughout her life she’s accompanied for church, choirs, plays at weddings.

 

Elisabeth has played in band as a flutist and is a self-taught guitarist. She enjoys expressing herself through different instruments including her latest, the drums. She believes that music is a language and that everyone should be able to have the opportunity to learn and speak it.

Mr. Benny

Benny is currently enrolled at the University of Hawaii at Manoa Music Department, pursuing a Bachelors of Music degree in Piano Performance. He has been classically trained for 14 years under Sam Adams. By the age of 21, he has performed works by composers such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninoff. Studying at UH has expanded his musical horizons, allowing him to play in many different ensembles. Despite facing challenges, Benny believes that hard work can lead to success and looks to inspire others by sharing his passion through Music.
